The Object Panel
2D Mode

When you select 'Original' object from the drop-down list, you are using the clip in 2D (flat) mode.

This invalidates many controls, which are therefore hidden.

The width and height controls are self explanatory.
The Original button sets the size of the clip to is native size, that is, the size at which it was originally compressed.

When you expand the size it will first expand within the display area, by adjusting its position to fit within the display, before expanding beyond the display boundaries.
3D Mode

If you select an 'object' or 'animation' from the drop-down list, you are using the clip in 3D mode.

Then we have the 'Surface Viewing' options.
When you experiment with 3D objects and animations, you need to bear in mind that there are 3 ways of 'looking' at them. Outside, Inside or Bothsides. Some objects/animations need to be in the correct mode to look at their best.

The width,height and depth (into the screen) controls are self explanatory.


The FOV (Field Of View) control acts like a camera lens, where you can change the perspective between 'telephoto' and 'fish-eye' type lenses.


On the optional 'Anim Control' panel, which becomes available if you have selected a 3D animated object.
  • There is a drop-down list for selecting the animation playback mode - once,loop,bounce,random.
  • Below that is the animation playback direction and speed control.
  • The 'P' button which toggles the playback between 'Pause' and 'Play'. This button is highlighted bright yellow when in pause mode.
  • The 'R' button allows you to 'Reverse' the animation direction on the fly.
  • The 'Restart on Trigger' toggle button makes the animation playback restart when the video clip is re-triggered.
  • Below this is the animation frame control knob. You can 'scratch' the animation at any time.
  • There is a 'Frame' button which resets the animation frame to either the first or last frame depending on the play direction.
  • Then there are two 'Step' buttons which allow you to step through the animation, one frame at a time.
