VJamm Blueprint - QuickStart Guide
Install VJamm Blueprint

On starting VJamm Blueprint, your graphics card, sound card, and any video capture cards will be detected and investagated.

We have discovered that some graphic card drivers can leak memory, you may recieve a warning if your unlucky enough to have this problem.

The first window presented is the Configuration Options. Press the 'Continue' button to proceed.

After VJamm Blueprint has finsihed loading, you will be presented with the default windows. You can re-position these on your desktop as required.

The main display area, defaults to the top-left of your display and can only be re-positioned by using the configuration panel on start-up.

Import a video clip into the library:
  • Locate a suitable video clip on your machine, use an explorer window to do this, If you don't currently have an explorer window available
    • Click on the Start menu on taskbar
    • Click on the 'Run' option
    • Type in explorer and press enter
  • Drag and drop a video clip file from an explorer window into the Library window
  • A thumbnail of the first frame in the video clip will appear in the Library
  • Drag this thumbnail from the Library and drop it onto the 'preview area' on channel 1 of the Vision Mixer.
    The preview area is just below the 'A' and 'B' buttons on the channel
Playing the video clip:
  • Click the playback mode button on channel 1 (the button above the 'Live Feed' button) until it shows two straight arrows
  • Start the clip playing by pressing the number 1 key (above q)
  • Move the slider in channel 1, up and down to fade the clip in and out
  • Make it play backwards by pressing the left arrow key
  • And forwards by pressing the right arrow key
  • Press the number 1 key again, a few times, to see the clip restarting (this is called triggering)
  • Change the speed of the clip by pressing the numbers on the NumberPad (make sure you have NumLock On)
  • Press 5 on the NumberPad to return to the default speed
Now to use some 3D:
  • In the Parameters Window, use the drop-down list to select 'Standard Cube'
  • Click the 'Pos/Mov' button to change to that panel
  • Click and hold down then left mouse button on the 'Y' rotation control i.e. the center rotary control
  • Move the mouse left or right to adjust the spin of the cube, when ready, release the mouse button
  • Play with the other rotation controls
Stopping a Clip:
  • hold SHIFT, press the number 1 key, release shift.
Well, thats a very short introduction to VJamm Blueprint. You could now read the rest of the manual or just get straight into playing with the software!
